Owner | Head Coach | CF-L2 Certificate Holder | BLS

I am proud to be an owner of Clarksville Proving Ground and Head Coach. I have been fortunate to serve in the United States Army for over 13 Years, majority of which I have spent in Special Operations. I have training in high-intensity functional fitness for over a decade and have enjoyed every moment with it.

I have gone through several phases of programming methodology throughout my life, in different facets of fitness, and have found functional fitness the most satisfying. For me, it is the fusion of working in a community, using competition to fuel hard work, and exceeding limits I previously thought to be true that keep me coming back for the next WOD.

I am very passionate about this sport and more so, coaching others to achieve whatever goal they have set for themselves. I refuse to hear that someone is not “prepared, trained, or acclimated” to workout atClarksville Proving Ground. Everyone, regardless of age or physical limitation, has the opportunity to improve their physical health. I will absolutely prove it to you.

I’ll see you out there.

I am a North Carolina native who moved to Clarksville 4.5 years ago thanks to the Army. I grew up playing every sport possible, and specifically focused on cheerleading and softball starting around the age of 14. I played competitive travel ball all through high school and I played softball all four years in undergrad, as well as participated on the Co-Ed cheerleading team. I never really thought about "working out" until I met my husband, Joey in 2010. He was your typical meathead and tried to get me just as interested. It wasn't until 2012 when my brothers opened a functional fitness affiliate gym in Spring Lake, NC that I decided to actually give this fitness thing a try. One class and I was immediately hooked. It satisfied my competitive nature, and allowed me to be the social butterfly that I love to be. From that moment on, Joey and I instantly started to think of ways to become future gym owners.

Fast forward to 2018 and we moved to Clarksville. We joined a local box here and made some great friendships and worked out with some amazing athletes. I became a manager of that gym and helped organize several special events. I got my L1 in 2019 while I was pregnant and began coaching. Coaching has allowed me to pass on my passion for functional fitness and a healthy lifestyle, as well as learn so much more about the world of fitness and the importance of community than I could have ever imagined.

Aside from the gym, I am a registered nurse at Tennova and a full time mommy to the sweetest little man, Maverick. I love hosting events at my house and at the gym (so be on the lookout for a lot of those!). My life is crazy busy and I absolutely love it. Family, fitness, friends, and faith are my reason for doing everything and what I live for. We are so excited to be opening up this gym in Sango, and we cannot wait to watch the fitness community grow even larger here in Clarksville!

I began functional fitness in 2012 and started coaching in 2014. I love how challenging the workouts are and that every day is something new. My favorite thing about coaching is helping an athlete achieve a movement or accomplish a heavy lift that they didn't believe they were capable of. My job is to make sure you never underestimate yourself, push hard during every workout, and do it in a safe way. We all have different personal goals, but together we can help each other towards the overall goal, which is better health and fitness. The community at Clarksville Proving Ground and I are here to support you in that pursuit.

Josh
Coach | CF-L2 Certificate Holder | ACE CPT | BLS

Like many in the area, Coach Josh was transplanted to Clarksville through his military service. He completed his Army EOD career in 2016, but his passion for health and fitness never stopped. While deployed, he was introduced to high-intensity functional training, and it sparked a deep interest in helping others move better and live healthier.

Since 2016, Josh has been coaching regularly and has played a key role in fostering a strong, supportive fitness community in Clarksville. He holds a Level 2 Functional Fitness Coaching Certification (CF-L2) and brings a diverse background that includes bodybuilding, nutrition, and competitive sports, especially baseball.

I'm Aly Morgan, a wife, mom of two, and therapist who’s called Clarksville home for the past four years. Originally from Washington, I grew up playing volleyball, running track, and even dabbled in diving. I found functional fitness a little over a year ago, shortly after my second postpartum journey, and instantly fell in love with how it combines strength, endurance, and real-life movement patterns.

My favorite workout? Karen—because let’s be honest, it’s just 150 excuses to spend quality time with a wall ball. I’m also a big fan of wall walks and front squats. But thrusters? Hard pass. Those are proof that even fitness has a dark side.

I grew up playing soccer, field hockey, and running track and field. With over 19 years in the Army, staying active has always been part of my lifestyle. I started functional fitness training in 2010 and earned my L1 coaching certification in 2015. With over a decade of experience and 8 years of coaching under my belt, I’m still just as passionate about movement and progress as day one.

You can usually catch me chasing down cleans, back squats, or dumbbell snatches. Those are my go-to favorites. And when it comes to food, anything savory has my heart.

What I love most about coaching is watching progress unfold. It’s both humbling and rewarding to see people reach their goals, fix their form, and gain confidence in themselves. I’m grateful every day to play a part in that and be a positive leader in our community.

I’m a husband and dad originally from Alabama - Go Auburn! I’ve been training in functional fitness for about five and a half years, and I’ve loved every grueling minute of it. Mexican food is my weakness, especially after a tough workout.

My favorite movement is squat cleans, and maybe laying on the floor afterward questioning all my life choices.

What I love most about coaching at Clarksville Proving Ground is watching athletes rise to a challenge. That extra push, the effort they may not give when training alone, that’s where growth happens, and it’s incredible to witness.

Born and raised in a small town in Oklahoma, I recently relocated to Tennessee for a career advancement opportunity. My passion for functional fitness goes back to my youth, where I was heavily involved in competitive sports. Along the way, I was fortunate to have great role models who inspired me to coach and be a positive influence in the lives of others.

I’ve been training in functional fitness off and on for about 8 years, and since joining Clarksville Proving Ground, that passion has been reignited. What I love most about this style of training is that it’s truly for everyone—whether you’re chasing performance goals, community, or simply becoming healthier. For some, like me, it fuels a competitive drive. For others, it’s about fellowship and growth.

As a coach, my favorite part is seeing members break through barriers and accomplish things they once thought were out of reach.

Outside of the gym, I’m a husband to my beautiful wife Amanda and a proud father to our three amazing kids—Ransley, Rozlyn, and Beckett.
